A RECENT national promotion by Solahart has seen the lucky winners of a Model 3 Electric Vehicle (EV) Tesla come from Hervey Bay.

Jaimes and Tina made the decision a few months ago to relocate from Brisbane and begin their next stage of life in Hervey Bay after regularly coming here on holidays.

They chose The Anchorage Lifestyle Resort, an over 50s lifestyle community in Urangan, as their next home. “We love the vibe here”, says Tina.

They chose a local business as the company to install their solar panels which at the time were running a promotion to reward Australians who are making the smart choice by switching to solar.

The couple entered the giveaway online to go into the draw to win a brand new Tesla valued up to $70,000 as part of a 70 year celebration for Solahart.

“I’d forgotten about our entry as we normally don’t win these things; then we got a call out of the nowhere. We are still coming to terms with it”, says Jaimes.

“My wife and I are blown away that we have won this huge prize! We’ve previously had solar panels, so we understand the benefits of switching to solar. Having retired last year, we recently downsized and installing solar panels on our new home was a main priority".

"We have always wanted a Tesla. Now we own one", says his wife, Tina.

Managing Director for Solahart Fraser Coast, Darren Page, says it's very exciting for his franchise to have their very own customers be the winner of a national promotion.

"We are really happy about the fact someone from Hervey Bay has won such a great prize and also a reward for one of our customers", says Mr Page.

"There was almost 1,000 online entries received across Australia, so we are thrilled the winner is from our region".
