Amy Friesen, a judge at the 2024 Hervey Bay Film Festival, praised the film, stating, “From a film festival judge's perspective, Diving Into The Darkness is one of those films that truly stands out! I was thrilled to see Nays Baghai's work take home the award for Best Feature Documentary. It masterfully combines stunning visuals with a powerful story, offering an inspiring glimpse into the world of cave diving from one of its foremost female pioneers.”

“We’re excited to share this inspiring narrative with a broader audience,” said Baghai.

“Jill's courage and passion for exploration are truly remarkable, and we hope this film sparks a sense of adventure in everyone who watches it.”
