A RECORD-BREAKING 41,000 people attended performances at the Brolga Theatre in 2024 - the highest in its 25-year history - with 2025 set to be even bigger.

Fraser Coast Regional Council Arts spokesperson Cr Sara Diana Faraj said the Brolga Theatre and Convention Centre welcomed an additional 8,000 visitors last year, driven by the exceptional quality of performances and the community's growing enthusiasm for live entertainment.

"There was a total of 132 performances in 2024, up from 99 in 2023 with highlights including Good Old Days of Rock and Roll and Music of the Night," she said.

"Both of those shows were completely sold out well in advance, highlighting the high demand for quality entertainment at the Brolga Theatre and the community's eagerness to secure tickets for top-tier performances.

"Other performance highlights included hosting seven local dance schools, which delivered 13 vibrant concerts, welcoming the Queensland Band Championships, and featuring outstanding productions by local theatre groups Macabre and Accent Theatre.”

Fraser Coast Mayor George Seymour said alongside its thriving theatre program, the Brolga Theatre and Convention Centre welcomed an additional 31,149 visitors in 2024 by hosting 236 corporate events.

“This highlights the venue’s versatility as not only a premier entertainment destination but also a vital community gathering place,” he said.

“We extend our heartfelt thanks to our 82 dedicated volunteers who worked tirelessly throughout 2024, contributing over 5,000 hours to support the theatre’s staff to deliver shows and events.

Their commitment and enthusiasm play a vital role in the success of the Brolga Theatre.
