COOL Country Social Music Club is proud to present their annual Indigenous Day Concert on Sunday 11 June 2023.

The magic of music and song is the philosophy to reconcile our indigenous peoples and all of the community from various backgrounds to offer a hand of friendship through music.

The Cool Country Indigenous Music Morning Show, featuring Jon Vea Vea and the Cobblestone Band with special guest artists commences at 10am to 10.40am to be followed by the Cool Country walk up concert with members and guests invited to play an instrument or sing on stage with the Cool Country live band.

The Cool Country regular band has extensive experience in many genres, including blues, rock n roll and country music.

Jon Vea Vea, a popular local indigenous entertainer, said “I am thrilled that Cool Country Music Club is holding another Indigenous Day. This is what inclusiveness, recognition and reconciliation is all about.  I am so proud to be the club patron”.

The concert is held at the Senior Citizens Hall, Cnr Denmans Camp Road and Totness Street Torquay. Doors open 9.30am for 10am start.

There are canteen facilities, lucky door prize, raffles and plenty of entertainment for a $5 entry.

The club practices every Thursday evening from 4.30pm at the Senior Citizens hall.

Club social concerts are held at the hall on the second Sunday of every month, normally doors open at 10am for 10.30am start except on Indigenous Day when doors open at 9.30am.
