All contribute to the magnetism and retention of a seniors community that advocates our town to family and friends which also has contributed to recent significant growth in population.

The community has invested in creating an environment that allows seniors to live independently for as long as possible as the Fraser Coast Regional Council has recognised this population sector in supporting a number of other centres.

This would include Hervey Bay Citizens Centre and Halcro Street Community Centre, having sole focuses on the seniors community and their needs that their diverse programs provide an opportunity for many passions.

The diversity of activities for seniors continues to evolve and includes unique classes of Laughter Yoga. The Fraser Coast Laughter club is held each Thursday at the Hervey Bay Citizens Centre which brings great joy and large smiles to many.

Senior health is a priority in Hervey Bay as the health system is now the largest employer sector in Hervey Bay. 

The community has invested in facilities and services that cater to the well-being of its aging population.
