AT THE RECENT Barbeques Galore National Conference held on the Gold Coast, the Barbeques Galore Hervey Bay store received two prestigious awards.

The store was announced as the recipient of one of only four Performance Excellence Awards across the Franchisee network, presently numbering 30 stores across Australia. The award encompasses a number of criteria including sales, customer service, store layout and business management.

Owner, David Carter, was thrilled to receive such recognition. “Our success reflects the effort put in by our dedicated staff and the support from the people living in and visiting the area.”

“We endeavour to meet our customers’ needs, providing specialised advice backed up with proven product,” David explains. “We are prepared to go the extra mile to ensure that our customers have a product that will fulfill and hopefully exceed their expectations.”

This sentiment was further exemplified with the Hervey Bay store Team Leader, Joshua du Toit, being named as the Franchisee Employee of the Year. “Whether it be dealing with customers, ticking off the stock on delivery days, filling copious gas cylinders, rearranging floor displays or grilling up a tasty lunch, Josh always displays a positive attitude and passion for his work,” David adds.

“We are very proud of what we have achieved since opening the Hervey Bay store in 2019 and will continue to provide great service in barbecues, smokers, outdoor furniture, wood heating and all the accessories.  We live, work and relax here and are committed to contributing to the region’s future growth and prosperity.”
